Old Lady Perfume

I hate the smell of old ladies. I don't know what it is; mothballs, sicky sweet perfume, old hairspray for their nasty gray hair that unravels down past their ass. God, I don't want to get old. I always used to think 50 would be old but now I look at my parents and think they are probably some of the coolest 55 year olds around. I don't want to get wrinkly skin. I don't want to have long, gray, nasty hair. I don't want to start to say things are too loud or that I want to eat dinner before it gets dark.

It's funny to think that when I'm old (20 years from now), talking about rap groups is going to be like our parents talking about classic rock, iPods will be relics and texting will be so outdated. For now, I will settle for not having to breathe gross old lady perfume...PLEASE!!!

Just put him to my voicemail....

This is a statement my boss loves to use when she doesn't want to talk to anyone during work. Really?? I'd rather take the phone call then return 10 phone messages anyday, but that's just me. Doesn't that just make more work for yourself?? Hmm...

I just got back the East coast from visiting my boyfriend. I also met his parents this weekend in Pennsylvania. I had a great time despite my worries before I went. His family is hilarious!! He has 6 brothers, 3 older and 3 younger. That makes for a big family dinner. His family is still in the same house since he was 2 so it was fun being there and knowing the history of his family.

I got lucky on my trip back and didn't get stuck in any bad weather even though I was stuck on I-70 to Denver for a hour on Thursday night going to the airport. Well, I'm about to get out of work so this was just a short note....

OK, I Can Be Sweet

Well, the bitch that I blogged about yesterday came up to talk with me today.....and believe it or not, I was nice to her despite what she said behind my back. Kill them with kindness, I guess.

The bus sucks. I think what I hate the most is having to sit next to people. I can't stand it. Do people really have to sit right next to me almost on my lap? I really get so annoyed by that! Also, idiots who bring money on the bus and don't get it out until they need to put it in. Thanks to them, I missed my other bus up the hill today and was late for work. And then there is the bus driver who doesn't know how to use the brake so every five seconds you are jerked forward by bad braking. Come on douchebag bus driver, I learned how to brake smoothly in driver's ed in 10th grade! So all in all, I HATE THE BUS!! If I come into some money, I'm definitely getting another car.

*To Tim: You are the best boyfriend in the world. I love you so much and I can't wait until you get home!!

My 100th Post!!

My absence from blogging really has to do with having someone to vent to in person and not taking it out on my computer. My boyfriend is in the middle of school at Rutgers and will be back in the middle of March. I have so much pent up anger towards things that I need to blog. I'm not good at venting over the phone to him. So here goes....

People smell. I don't know if it's me getting older and sense of smell getting keener or what but I am noticing that people reek. I sat by a guy on the bus this morning who smelled like a combination of cooked cabbage, coffee and mildew. GROSS!! I hate the smell of people after they ski, too. It's that smell of sweat, old deodorant and wet dog. GOD I HATE IT!!! And then there's those guys who where way too much aftershave. I could go on and on but I think I'm good for now.

One of my favorite owners just walked by the desk with one of the bitchy owners and asked if I needed anything. I smiled and said no thank you and as they walked away the bitch said "wow, you got her to smile, she's normally such a sourpuss". You know what, cunt, maybe I would smile more at you if you didn't f---ing complain about everything to me. F--- YOU!!! I'm sure the bitch will say something to my boss and I will get in trouble. Never fails....

Nicole Richie vs. Karen Carpenter

For those of you who don't know who Karen Carpenter is, she is the one in the white dress on the right. She died in 1983 from anorexia. This picture was taken that year. We all know that Nicole Richie has been chunky. She's guzzled alcohol like a fiend and she's also be engaged to the meth smoking DJ AM. Why doesn't someone intervine!! I would love to be skinny, to get rid of my little tummy pooch that I have and get rock hard abs. But I never ever want to look like this......EVER!!!

Fergie Could Be Kirstie Alley's Younger Sister

Watching the video "London Bridge" I couldn't figure out who Fergie reminded me of while she's strutting on top of the table in her British monogrammed booty shorts. Then it came to me...she looks like a skinny, skinny version of Kirstie Alley!! I think it's the hair and the eyes and part of her mouth I guess. Anyways, just an observation... (and once Blogger shpes up, maybe I will post comparison pictures....God BLOGGER IS ANNOYING!!!)

It's starting to get cold here in Colorado. And again I find myself with dwindling funds and the end of my summer profession. I start at the hotel in three weeks! WOW! I can't believe how fast the summer has flown by this year! My boyfriend is still awesome. He starts gearing up for a big month in October in his job and also for hockey season. I have a feeling that I will watch more hockey this winter than I ever have in my entire life. We have a few tickets to certain Colorado Avalanche games, the first one being October 8 against Vancouver. It should be fun! Well, I better get ready for work...

Hope For Geeks Everywhere

Scott Storch needs to add a stylist to his entourage of people. I swear I made fun of this guy in high school. At least he looks like it. This douche bag is a billionaire just for laying down the same beats for artists such as Danity Kane, Brooke (Hogan), Christina Aguliara, Beyonce' (yuk), Paris Hilton and Justin Timberlake (I'll take the sexy back). All of his beats sound the same!! And yet this ordinary guy has somehow weaseled his way into the music and socialite scene and has brain washed everyone with his hideous looks and copycat music like a pied piper. Anyways, just thought I would rant...WHAT AN IDIOT!!!

Winter Is Coming

I went out yesterday morning at 7:30am and played golf with some of the people I work with. It was beautiful but really cool temperature wise. I played OK but didn't hit my driver as well as I wanted. My left shoulder hurts a little so I'm not turning my shoulders the way I should be. Oh well...

I have tomorrow off and my boyfriend and I are going the horse track in Denver. That should be a lot of fun. I've never been before so I'm pretty excited. I just want to see the horses. I love horses. We are also going to visit my boyfriend's brother and sister-in-law. It should be a good day. Other than that, money is a little tight this week. That sucks!

Back on Track and Ready To Make Nice

Finally, I have wireless in my condo! My roommate left for the Virgin Islands today and had me call Comcast to have them come install it. So hopefully I will be able to keep up on my blogging. I feel excited about getting back into it. I've lost all of my blogger friends I think :(

First, I would like to tell everyone that my love life is great. My boyfriend is the most wonderful guy I've met ever. It's hard to describe sometimes but I'd have to say I've found a good one and he's also one of my best friends.

Second, I can't believe it's almost the end of golf season. We had our first frost this morning. That is the first sign of the true beginning of fall. I can't wait until the first hint of a whiff of burning wood from a fireplace. That will be wonderful!!

Lastly, I'm jealous of Alaska. They now have the pleasure of having one of my coolest friends as a part time resident. My friend Gretchen is there now as a speech pathologist. I got an email from her today (a mass email but an email nonetheless) about her first days there in the tundra. I love ya girl!!!

That's all for now...

I've Lost My Faith in Humanity

Sorry about the long sabbatical. I'm sure I've lost all of my readers but I guess I will have to deal. My relationship is going along really well and golf season is slowly but surely winding down. COME ON OCTOBER 1st!!! Giants preseason football starts August 11th. Shockey, who cares about your concussion, just take your shirt off (as my friend AJ would say).
But alas, I have lost faith in all humanity. Well maybe not all but my boyfriend got me into watching the Tour de France this year. And I really got into it and loved that it was a close "race" and that Lance Armstrong wasn't there to run away with it. But I can honestly say that I will NEVER watch the Tour de France again. I'm so disappointed that Floyd Landis tested positive for supposed blood doping that it has tainted my whole veiw of the Tour. It's like watching Tiger play golf if he ever got acccused of cheating. That would suck!! I guess I will just have to watch baseball next July or reruns of Martin.

I will try to keep up a little better. Bear with me...

So It's Official...

Apparently I've let everyone down that reads my blog so: no one is reading my blog AND...I have a boyfriend! Yep, after about four years (or maybe more depending on how you look at it) I'm officially someone's girlfriend. Not because I'm a golf pro, not because I'm fun to go to a bar with and get hammered with but because this guy likes me for me...he really likes me! I gotta say, he's pretty great. He's the crush I talked about when I wrote the post about going to Central City about a month ago. He works out here at the golf course and we have a lot in common. In fact, he normally beats me on the golf course. He' not a golf pro though...he's a superintendent. But things are going really good with him. We'll see...I don't want to jinx it. As for people reading my blog, I don't know what more I can do. Maybe it's just because it's been a holiday weekend. Hmmm, I don't know

My Roommate's Boyfriend Could Be a Therapist

So my roommate is dating this guy who is pretty cool. His name is John and before I left for work today, he was on his hands and knees scrubbing our kitchen floor. If I haven't told you before, my place is a pig sty because my roommate (Kim)is a piglet...a clutter piglet, not a grubby piglet. Anyways back to the therapy part. John was handed the phone by Kim and on the other line was her friend, Jill. Jill is a really good girl but has some self esteem issues (she's a cookie monster) and has endless issues with her family (mostly her mom and sister) which she deals with by using alcohol. Poor John had to listen to her and talk her off the proverbial ledge....AGAIN! Kim and I were talking to eachother during that phone call that thank goodness he's dealing with that mess rather than us. He's definitely talked some sense into me before so he's definitely the patient one out of the three of us.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I did the above divider because Big Ben does it on most of his posts and I thought it looked cool. Anyways, it looks like you guys will be getting one post a week for a little while. I'm just finding it hard to find time to work and juggle the rest of my life and write in my blog too. All is well but my personal life is a little crazy...
Wow, so much to say, so little time....
Sorry guys! I know how much I hate when I go to visit a blog and it's the same entry I've read the past ten times. I am so freakin' busy, I barely have time to sleep. Not to mention my computer doesn't work at my house except when the wind blows just right so it's been hard to update this. I have lots to catch up on but I can't at this moment. So here are a few favorites:
Favorite videos:
1) Buttons (Pussy Cat Dolls, I just love that lead singer!)
Favorite Time of Day:
A toss up between sunrise and sunset since I've been witnessing both for a couple weeks now.
Favorite Upcoming Movie Release:
Pirates of the Carribean, releasing on July 7th (I LOVE YOU JOHNNY DEPP!)
Favorite Fast Food:
Burger King Whopper(with cheese, no onions)
Favorite Golf Course in the Vail Valley:
Sonnenalp (I'm a little biased) or the Vail Golf Club (again biased, even though the greens SUCK!)
Favorite person to work with in the golf shop:
Toss up between Donna and George H. (he makes me laugh)
Favorite cancelled series on HBO:
Sex and the City
Favorite cancelled series on Showtime:
Queer as Folk (I love you Gale Harold!)
Favorite Time of the Year:
Mud season (the last half of April and first part of May and the month of October...normally I don't have to work)
Favorite Soft Drink:
I promise to fill you in on my life soon...thanks for your patience!
LPGA Here I Come!
Ok, well maybe that's a high expectation. I did fairly well in my tournament. The first day was a two person four-ball match which means I had a partner and we played against two other girls. We each played our own ball and took the best score against their best score and kept score like match play. If you know golf, you'll understand what I'm talking about. If not, what I just explained will probably be clear as mud. Anyways, my partner and I won 2 & 1 (1 point)the first day. The next day we had singles matches. I played against a Colorado Women's Golf Association Hall of Famer and ended up all square (1/2 a point) in our match. I should have beat her since I was up 4 after 9 holes but she got into my head a little bit on the last few holes. Anyways, I had a great time. It was SO HOT though where we were playing. Driving back from Denver, I looked at the temperature on the dashboard and it said 102! Stupid hot for this reformed mountain girl. We also had about a two club wind all day the last day. BRUTAL! The girls on my team were awesome! The were super nice and really good players...just like me! :) Our results were in the Denver Post which was cool because when I got back to work a bunch of the members knew about it. So anyways, I'm getting a short lesson this afternoon to see if there is something I can do to hit my irons just a little bit longer. I kill my driver in most cases but I hit my irons about a club shorter than the girls I was playing with. That's unsatisfactory in my book if I'm going to keep playing competitively this summer, which I do plan on playing in some more tournaments. I'll keep you posted...
Timing Is Everything
I was laying in my bed waking up watching MTV and the video for Daniel Powter's "Had A Bad Day" came on. Not a huge fan of the song but I always watch the video. I think it's a great example of how just minutes in your life can make you miss the opportunity of a lifetime. Those same minutes can also save your life, prevent accidents and enable you to walk through doors that may not have been open a second before you got there (figuratively and literally). I've always been a huge supporter of the whole "right place, right time", "everything happens for a reason", and "if it's meant to happen, it will" mind set. Any time I've tried to force anything in my life, I have failed miserably or things have turned into being completely awkward. On the other hand, there are some things that have fallen into my lap. Take for instance my career. It's the most amazing thing to me. I miraculously got a college scholarhship without playing high school golf. I walked into the most amazing experience of getting all of my PGA training paid for by Disney (not to mention the best training experience a golf professional can have). When I got my first job in Vail, it was within three days (a week after I turned down a similar position at Kapalua, Hawaii). The position I have now fell into my lap 45 minutes after I emailed my resume to my now director of golf. I guess my point is again, timing is everything but you have to be in the position to recognize and accept the opportunities. And if you aren't in the right place at the right time, if it's meant to be, the opportunity will present itself again. Life's pretty easy, huh? Right....
God I'm So Conflicted!
So yeah, two posts within a day of eachother? No way, right! Well, believe it! I have to vent. I have too many guy situations happening in my life right now. The crush that I went to Central City with, Johnny P (who I will see next week) and James from the Red Lion (who I just talked to on the phone who I will see Saturday). No fair world!!! Why are there three guys who with all of their qualities, make up the best guy a girl could ever have! What do I do? James, I liked him. But it's been so long since I've seen him, who knows at this point. My crush? Yeah, I work with him so good chance that won't work. And Johnny P (affectionately called 6 digits) he likes me for three reasons. Something about 14 year old girls, golf and booze (not necessarily in that order). So I'm stuck behind the 8 ball. What do I do?
Super Busy
Wow! I feel like I live at the golf course. Yeah, I know to some of you that seems like a dream job but it's not as great as it sounds. I feel so disconnected to everything in the world because I feel all I do is work and sleep. I haven't been keeping up with anyone's blogs and I haven't been out in ages. But I do love what I do! I am playing in a golf tournament next week called the Colorado Cup. It's a group of six PGA girls and six PGA guys from the state. The first day is four ball matches. It's a 2 day tournament so I'm going to have to stay in Denver overnight. WOOHOO! Road trip! I'll put the website address on here in the next couple of days so you can keep up with the results. It should be a fun tournament.
And I take that back when I said that I haven't been out for a while. I went to Central City last weekend. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's the Atlantic City of Colorado. I went with a crush of mine and we had a great time. Neither of us won any money but it was a good bonding experience. I'll keep you updated on that situation. I'm sure I'll screw it up somehow. Well, that's all for now. I don't know why I'm not being able to post any pictures though. That's my favorite part!
"Trust me," said the Used Car Salesman
I want to preface this post by apologizing for not keeping up with my blog this last month. I'm at my regular summer job as a golf pro so my time is always spent at work.
So, I've determined that the only people I can really whole heartedly trust are my parents. They love me unconditionally and would never try to bamboozle me in anyway. But it's amazing to me who I sometimes put trust and faith in and then always get screwed. For instance, my roommate. She's great. But some of her friends, not so much. Take the guy who spent the night on the couch last night. I got up his morning and was getting ready for work. In between my shower and fixing my hair, (Ben , you'll get a kick out of this) he goes into my bathroom, which is the communal bathroom, and takes a GIGANTIC dump. GROSS!!!! Not only that, but my fan doesn't work in there so there was no way for the nose hair melting smell to get out of there! The only thing that kinda makes me smile on the inside is that I had just used the last of the toilet paper and the roll was empty. HEE HEE HEEE! Karma will always get you somehow! So now, my day can only get better, right?
Anatomy Of My Love Life
The length of a relationship I've had in the last three years is equivalent to the life span of a midge (you guys that fly fish will know what I'm talking about). Either way, it's really short. It doesn't matter if I meet the guy at a bar, at the golf course, at a concert or at the gym. The result is always the same, one week...MAX! That's actually longer than the lifespan of a midge but sometimes my realationships are shorter. Why? I have absolutely NO IDEA! I don't pressure guys to call me, I'm not a nagger. I'm fun, I'm cute, I don't have much competition in the valley...so what's the deal? Do I not give the green light for guys to hang with me for a while? Am I choosing guys from the wrong jerk pool? Probably all of the above. The only thing I know is that I have been told SOOOO much crap from guys about promises and plans and stuff we're gonna do and places we're gonna go and then....nothing ever happens. Sometimes, the guy turns into to Casper the ghost and disappears (BTW, how long's it been JD?[said with sarcasm] ). Sometimes, he's a quick, crafty ninja who stabs at my heart and all I'm left with is a wound from a Chinese thrown star. The wound is deep, but it doesn't hurt at first. Then, it starts to bleed and bleed and won't stop and then the pain comes with putting pressure on the wound. There's always a scar and it's never the only one. Why does it have to be so complicated?
